NANCY MAU Shoulders Class March 13th 2:00 -4:30

The shoulder joint is a complex structure designed for mobility. However, maintaining the proper balance between mobility of the shoulder and stability in the joint can be challenging. We ask a lot from our shoulders during our yoga practice. Learn how to both strengthen and open them for maximum health and range of motion.

This class will focus on a sequence of poses that, with regular practice, can help maintain proper alignment in yoga poses; build balanced strength around the shoulder joint;
create freedom in the chest and back muscles that limit movement; and avoid future injuries.
Nancy Mau is a certified Intermediate Junior I Iyengar Yoga teacher and the past President of the B.K.S. Iyengar Yoga Association of the Southeast (IYASE). Nancy was introduced to Iyengar Yoga at Stillwater Yoga Studio in 1992. She recently returned from her fourth trip to India to study with the Iyengar family at RIMYI. She continues to study with senior teachers (to whom she is most grateful) to improve her own practice and better share her experience with others.
Cost for the Workshop is $35. Six months of yoga practice is recommended. Please, for your own well-being, no serious injuries.
