Rope Seminar Part 2: Learning the ropes with Steve Jacobson March 3rd 2- 4pm

This workshop is devoted to rope techniques, both familiar and unfamiliar.  Poses on the ropes are valuable in themselves, for their applications to poses done without props, and therapeutically.   The aim of the workshop is to explore these possibilities.

One year of practice and some familiarity with the use of the ropes are requirements.  $40.

 

Workshop with visiting teacher Manouso Manos March 23rd-25th

Manouso is one of the most capable and experienced Advanced Level Iyengar teachers in the United States. He began his studies with Sri BKS Iyengar in 1976 and in 1984 served as chairperson of the First International Iyengar Yoga Convention. After numerous trips to Pune, India and over 40 years of study, his understanding and insights of Iyengar Yoga are transmitted with authenticity and precision.

Methodical in his teaching, Manouso develops a strong foundation in the asana, while progressively building in the refinements of the pose. His dynamic and challenging teaching style moves you beyond your perceived limits.

Friday March 23rd          6:00 – 8:00pm – $65

Saturday March 24th     9:00 – 1:00pm – $120

Sunday March 25th   9:00 – 1:00pm – $120

There will be appropriate breaks in the 4 hour classes. One year of Iyengar Yoga experience expected. Please bring your own props to the church. 3 blankets, 1 mat and a brick if you have one.

COST: $260 for all asana classes if paid by March 1st ($275 after)

*Friday and Saturday classes will be held at Rock Spring Presbyterian Church  1824 Piedmont Avenue. Parking is in the back off the side street. Enter through the blue door in the back where it says FELLOWSHIP HALL. 1.8 miles from the studio.
Sunday classes will be held at Stillwater Yoga Studio.
